Privacy policy

The Caffeinate app doesn’t collect your data. There’s no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you do in the app stays on your iPhone.

This policy covers the Caffeinate iPhone app (“Caffeinate: Morning Breathwork”) and this website, caffein8.app. Both are made by Aeteros Wellness Labs Inc., Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.

The app

What stays on your iPhone

The app keeps your mornings on your device:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else, and we can’t see it. Delete the app and it’s gone (except Mindful Minutes you chose to save to Apple Health, below).

If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, that backup includes the app’s data, as it does for other apps. Apple handles those backups under its own terms.

What the app doesn’t do

No account or sign-up. No analytics, advertising or tracking, and no third-party code that collects data. The app makes no network connections of its own.

Apple Health (optional)

After your second session, the app asks whether to save your sessions to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. If you allow it, the app writes the start and end time of each session, and Health notes which device saved it, as it does for every app. The app never reads anything from Health. Saved minutes stay in Health until you delete them there, even if you delete the app. You can turn this off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Caffeinate.

Reminders (optional)

Morning reminders, and a heads-up two days before a free trial ends, are scheduled on your iPhone. They aren’t sent from a server. If you skip the reminder offer twice, the app may send quiet reminders that appear only in Notification Center. Turn morning reminders off in the app’s Profile. To stop all of the app’s notifications, use Settings › Notifications › Caffeinate.

Subscriptions

Purchases go through Apple. We never see your payment details. The app asks Apple for prices, whether you have an active subscription or free trial, and when it renews. Apple gives us sales reports that don’t identify you. Apple’s privacy policy covers your purchase.

Sharing

If you tap Share after a session, the app makes an image of your morning and hands it to your iPhone’s share sheet. It goes only where you send it.

Crash reports

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics that don’t identify you. You can turn this off there.

Beta testing

If you test a beta through Apple’s TestFlight, Apple shares with us the details you gave TestFlight (such as your name and email address), along with any feedback, screenshots and crash reports you send. We use them only to fix and improve the app.

This website

caffein8.app sets no cookies and runs no analytics, ads or third-party scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, processes basic technical details (such as your IP address and browser) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Emails to support

When you email support@deeprem.app, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to help you, and we delete it when you ask.

Your choices and rights

The app holds nothing about you that we can see. For anything we do hold, such as your support emails, you can ask us what we have, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email support@deeprem.app. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your local privacy authority.

Children

The Caffeinate app doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above. If a future version of the app starts handling your data in a new way, for example syncing through iCloud, this page will say so before that version is released.
